8/15/2023 0 Comments Invisible fence for dogs wirelessWhile it doesn’t feature different levels of correction, it does work on a pretty simple principle. All you have to do in order to make it work is turn it on and fine-tune the parameters. It’s also rechargeable and doesn’t include any wires nor does it require any special installation steps. The system supports an unlimited number of collars which is great news for most pet owners. Luckily, you don’t have to worry about that when it comes to this model because it has a reliable build quality. It works with the original PetSafe (PIF-300) wireless fence. Therefore, if you don’t have a transmitter already, this model won’t work. Instead, it’s just a collar that needs a transmitter in order to work. Also, bear in mind that this isn’t a complete containment system. On the other hand, make sure you read the features and specifications in order to find out whether or not it fulfills your expectations and requirements. Is it a good purchase? The short answer is – Yes. One cannot say it’s a particularly cheap piece, but it’s definitely affordable and worth investing in. The price is okay, but we would have liked seeing it go down a bit. The buckle works well, and the collar doesn’t cause any irritation due to friction. The collar design is okay, but there’s nothing impressive about it. One of the things that some people complained about is the short lifespan of the included batteries. In fact, we weren’t able to find a note-worthy flaw both in design and functionality. When it comes to disadvantages, there aren’t many. Also, you have to make sure to set it up properly. The main thing you should look for is the intensity of the static correction. If you have an open yard with no fence, this model might be the thing you’re looking for. While it’s more of a matter of personal preferences, the shortness of the contacts is still worth mentioning. Also, the metal probes are of acceptable length, but they could have been designed a bit better. The design is okay, but the receiver on the collar seems a bit bulky. As you can tell, it’s quite a versatile accessory, to say the least. It fits dogs that weigh from 11 up to 154 pounds and the circumference of the collar ranges from 8 to 27 inches. The collar features three levels of automatic static correction and ten levels of vibration and correction. On top of that, an additional spool of wire is quite affordable therefore, you don’t have to worry much about budget cuts. In case you run out of wire, getting another spool of it is as easy as it sounds. It comes with around 490 feet of wire which is enough for most average pet owners. It is capable of covering up to 10 acres as long as you have enough wire. If you’re looking for a decent in-ground model, this particular one might be a good candidate.
